Bats and Skunks
Room 4 studied 2 mammals. Bats and skunks are the same, but different! Bats fly, skunks creep, but both mammals are nocturnal. Bats keep the insect population down. Farmers love them. Skunks live a short life, eating worms and grubs, waddling through thick underbrush. They really hurt no one, unless... they are threatened! ask your child to hare how a skunk warns a predator before they spray!
