Reading for Pizza!

Rooms 4 and 5 are so excited! Our classes have reached the last week of reading for our goal... a Papa's Pizza field trip. As you can see we have a few kiddos that have reached their 200 minutes. A large pizza slice means "You Did It!" Please help your child get to the top of their pizza plate by sending in those slips. The challenge ends the last day of April.

Animals, Animals!

Room 4 has been reading informational texts for weeks. We have been writing "All About ____" information books as well. This week our HM Reader had a new story, "Animals, Animals!' We read and wrote about interesting facts unique to different animals. "Humphrey the Hamster" visited our class for a day. He came with an "information page". Thank you Logan for researching all about hamsters, and sharing what you have learned with us! Humphrey even took a walk around our circle in his exercise ball.

Seed Collections

Room 4 is studying seeds and how they grow. This week each child has a seed collection card. The "BIG IDEA" is to notice foods you eat come from seeds, and fresh foods often contain seeds. Please read the note on the back of the card. When you have gathered seeds, glue or tape them on the front, then put a large baggie, or cling wrap over them. We are going to be touching and hanging the cards. Enjoy discovering seeds together!
