Writer's Workshop

Room 4 is filled with real writers. A writer writes to tell a story, share an opinion, or give information. We write daily in Writer's Workshop. This is a time set aside to;

1. Think of an idea
2. Plan it across your pages- "touch it, tell it, sketch it"
3. Write it
4. Revise it

 

 

                                           

Meow! Meow!

Room 4 artists made some little black cats. 

They wrote a poem to go with it! Look at those green eyes!

Ridgeview Mural Progress!

Room 4 got to start painting their part of the Ridgeview mural today!

Book Box Reading!

Room 4 has started our "Book Boxes"! Every child has a reading mat, box, 5 books, and high frequency word cards to practice. What a great day in room 4!

Mural Art Class

First graders used primary colors to mix new secondary paint colors! I saw some beautiful color wheels completed today.

Ridgeview Mural Project

Room 4 started learning "All About Color" Friday from our mural artist. This week we will attend class on Tuesday, October 3rd. Wear old clothes TUESDAY!

October Book Orders!

It is FALL! October books may be selected ANYTIME online! Please enter our class code- LK8K9.
Book Club orders are due every month by the 15th. I electronically complete the orders that evening.
Remember, you may purchase books from any catalogue, any level, for any of your children.

PS- Anytime you wish your book choices to be a SECRET- ie. holiday gifts- send me an email and I will make sure they are wrapped separately and held for you to pick-up after school, or in the office.
